On 13th January 2017, the Quality Improvement Skills Training (QIST) section held their inaugural conference. With over 100 attendees from across all areas of healthcare delivery across Wales, the popularity of the event was not only a reflection of the interest in the Wales Deanery programme but also a real desire to advance the Quality Improvement agenda across Wales. The conference was not only an opportunity to learn about Quality Improvement but also for delegates to showcase their Quality Improvement projects. Many congratulations to Dr Miriam John, Welsh Clinical Leadership Training Fellow, who was awarded first prize in the poster competition.
The conference was exceptionally well received and as a result of its success, another QIST conference will be arranged in 2018.
