Wales Deanery bids farewell to Professor Derek Gallen


A large crowd gathered at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff to commemorate Professor Derek Gallen's retirement from the Wales Deanery.

Professor Gallen has served ten years as Dean, and his speech highlighted the many changes and developments the Wales Deanery has seen under his guidance and expertise.

The event was attended by colleagues from Cardiff University, in particular staff of Wales Deanery, family and friends. Amongst those paying tribute were Professors Elizabeth Treasure, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Cardiff University, Malcolm Lewis, Sub Dean and Director of General Practice and Revalidation, and Wendy Reid, Medical Director of Health Education England.

Colleagues at the Wales Deanery would like to wish Professor Gallen a long and happy retirement.
