The BSSU team was delighted to receive a 'shout out' this month from the Wales Deanery Finance team for creating a finance ticket for Service Desk.
Since its development by BSSU in 2015, Service Desk has been used to record and manage issues raised by the Deanery userbase. End users can register an issue and track it through to completion with full interactive communications along the way. It was initially launched via a pilot scheme with the Deanery's Revalidation Support Unit (RSU) before being configured for standalone use as the Deanery IT helpdesk, managed by the INTREPID team. Development of the finance ticket has further enhanced the Service Desk facility and streamlined the Finance team's business processes.
BSSU Web Developers Marijn Kampf and Jay Beavan, together with Web Support Officer Chris Bourne, met regularly with members of the Finance team during development of the new ticket, and this close collaboration enabled the project to remain on track. BSSU is grateful to the Finance team for their engagement and would like to thank them for showing their appreciation.
