Equality and Diversity Training

All staff and lay representatives involved in Wales Deanery activity should be able to show evidence of Equality and Diversity Training. 

Ways to access training:

  1. Staff

All staff employed on Cardiff University contracts should undertake the Cardiff University on line Equality and Diversity Training which can be accessed via here.

New staff will be registered centrally to enable them to access the online module and will receive an email to inform them when the module is available to them. Staff who have already been registered can access the module via the above link.

Help with accessing this training module can be found by emailing diversityonline@cardiff.ac.uk.

The Wales Deanery has worked with Cardiff University on a solution for those members of Wales Deanery Staff whose main employment is with the NHS. Therefore evidence of a package which is compliant with the 2010 Equality Act will be accepted from contracted staff members who work less than 0.2FTE. Those working 0.2FTE and more must complete the Cardiff University training.

 

  1. Others including lay representatives, panel members etc.

Lay representatives and others involved with recruitment panels, ARCPs, Chairs of STCs and appeals panels will need to provide evidence of recent Equality and Diversity training which is compatible with the 2010 Equality Act.

If the NHS Wales Treat Me Fairly, this is acceptable.
