Launch of Service Desk for website

Following the successful development of the Wales Deanery Service Desk for the Revalidation Support Unit and the Finance team, BSSU has now launched a Service Desk facility for the Deanery's website.

The system enables staff within all sections and units of the Deanery to submit tickets for faults and change requests. Tickets are prioritised and allocated to a BSSU team member who will then carry out the amendment or investigate and rectify the fault. Once changes have been made, BSSU contacts the ticket owner to verify the amendment before the ticket is closed.

Jennie Ross, Specialty Training Manager for Paediatrics and Child Health, was the first to submit change requests using the new system. Jennie said, "I have found the Service Desk very easy to use and the changes I have requested have been made quickly".

The new Service Desk system will provide a consistent approach across the Deanery and enable staff to keep track of ticket progress whilst ensuring BSSU is able to adhere to Service Level Agreements.
